The self titled debut album ‘CRIMSONFIRE’, marked the official arrival of the melodic, power metal force that is this band. Released in late 2005, ‘Crimsonfire’, was recently hailed by the man himself, Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson, as “a very impressive album”, providing the band with an honour they deemed “one of the greatest moments of their music careers.” Making their return to the live scene for the first time since late 2006, having spent 2007 so far writing songs for their forthcoming 2nd album, this is one performance not to be missed!

Like an inexperienced left hand hopelessly fondling at the musical clitoris and with a commercial indifference, FIVE STAR PRISON CELL are the masters of a fresh and non-conformist formula to the way music is written. Crazy off time and out there math metal that chugs and churns through a firestorm of intense riffing, brutal drumming and a vocal tirade unique to front (mad) man Adam Glynn. “Five Star” push the boundaries of metal to the extreme and beyond, forging a style the band can now call their own and have become the leaders of their genre on Aussie soil. The follow up to their successful debut “The Complete First Season,” Five Star Prison Cell have excelled themselves with album number two SLAVES OF VIRGO... Produced by dw Norton, it is 11 tracks of mind melting metal that ranks with the very best in the world.

DARKER HALF (NSW) play METAL: drawing on the roots of classic heavy metal, they have been inspired by thrash, power, death, speed and more to build a unique style all their own based around the dual guitars of Nick Alderton and Vo Simpson, whose screaming power vocals contrast with his brutal doom growl. Making their first trip down from Sydney to play in Melbourne, this is one young up and coming Australian metal band definitely worth checking out.

BE'LAKOR's intricate mix of melody, dark atmospheres and death metal has seen them garner much attention for themselves in recent times. After first hitting the live scene in late 2005, they spent much of 2006 away in the studio working on their first release; the result being a stunning debut, ‘The Frail Tide’. Receiving rave reviews worldwide, airplay on JJJ’s Full Metal Racket, and an ever-growing fan base, Be’lakor are one of the most promising new metal bands in Australia.

Having just released their debut album, ‘End Songs’, Melbourne’s RAINSHADOW, the brain child of vocalist/guitarist Ben Williamson, will be making their live debut to start off the evening! Also featuringl members of Be’lakor, Delirium Nocturnum, Nekros Manteia, Liturgy Of Affliction and Archaic Ruins in its live reincarnation, Rainshadow play a brand of melancholic and atmospheric metal filled with beauty and darkness.
